This is a beautiful moment. I look up at the sky, breathe deeply and take it all in. A bird soars by in near absoute silence, its wings wide, its path forming a downward arc until it lands on a leafy limb as I let out my breath luxuriously. The quiet premeates the entire cityscape from the tall apartment buildings to the squat garden co-ops; even the aspalt streets seem unusually calm in this special moment. This is the now.
I reach out with my mind and touch the surroundings, trees, buildings and sidewalks. A feeling comes over me, one of assuredness as I stand amongst the morning calm. It is a wonderful moment. The breeze picks up a little and a sound breaks the silence, a car’s motor roaring in the distance as I wait for whatever the next moment would bring but that matters not for this moment, this now is here and it is beautiful.
